Pastor
Debbie Bienick
was born and raised in New Jersey. She first became aware
of a call to ministry at age 12 which did not make sense to a Catholic school
girl. After 12 yrs of parochial school Debbie attended William Paterson
University where she received her degree in Special Education in 1977. After
teaching for 2years, Debbie returned to work for the Federal Government, where
she had been employed part time during her college years. There she met a young
woman who introduced her to the love of God and in February of 1980 God began to
transform her life during a coffee house at the New Milford Church of the
Nazarene.
Debbie’s journey in relationship with Christ has been a testimony to the
faithfulness of God. In 2003, the call on her life became clearer and she
enrolled in the course of study for ministry in the Church of the Nazarene
receiving her local preacher’s license that year. In 2005, Debbie was given her
district minister’s license and served at WVCN as associate pastor and later as
interim senior pastor until December of 2006. In January of 2007 she was
assigned as associate pastor at the Butler Church of the Nazarene during which
time she completed her studies and was ordained in May of 2009, a day she
considers to be one of the most blessed days of her life. Now God has allowed
her to return home to WVCN which has been her family and she is excited to see
what God has planned.
Pastor Debbie is the mother of two adult children and a son-in-law. Christopher
Berman resides with her in Warwick. Her daughter Ashley and husband Gabe
Tringale live in Pomona and had their first child in May 2010. These
are the great loves of her life-her God, her children, her dear friends who have
been the wind beneath her wings and her ministry. To God be the glory—Great
things HE HAS DONE!!
