| The Alabaster program provides funds for property and buildings around the world. The program began in 1949 when Rev. Elizabeth Vennum, a member of the General NMI council was asked to submit a plan to generate funds for greatly needed buildings and land in the world mission areas of the Church of the Nazarene. As God spoke to her about His plan of giving "love" gifts using small brick shaped boxes, to collect the offerings, the Alabaster program began. The idea is based on the story of Mary of Bethany, anointing Jesus' feet with expensive oil poured from an alabaster jar (Mt. 26:6-13). Over 50 years later this program is still in effect with more than 6,400 projects and over $70,000,000 in offerings.
How it works. The Alabaster love offering is an opportunity for us to give up something we want, but do not need and to give the cost of these items to Him. Throughout the year donations are made and placed in the individual Alabaster collection boxes, available in the church foyer for you to take home. Then these boxes are brought to the church on the last Sunday in September and February. During these worship services, all will have the opportunity to bring their Alabaster (love) offerings to the altar, to be poured out for Him. The Alabaster Offering provides funds for property and buildings around the world. It gives a sense of permanence, the attitude that the Church of the Nazarene intends to "put down roots." Eighty percent of the money is used in world mission areas, and twenty percent goes to multicultural congregations in the United States and Canada. Alabaster funds help provide land for most Work & Witness projects. The entire offering goes toward the construction of churches, schools, medical facilities, and homes for missionaries and national workers. Our church began the Alabaster program in 1999. Our total giving to date is over $5,500.00. | The Child Sponsorship program is a way to share the love of Jesus Christ with children and adults in need throughout the world. By our prayers and financial support we can change their lives and the lives of many people for generations to come.
The Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, Child Sponsorship Program is currently assisting almost 25,000 children, providing food, education, vocational training, spiritual training, clothing, shelter and medical assistance. *For just $10.00 a month you can feed three to four children a hot lunch, three to four times a week. *For only $25.00 a month you can give a child an education. *For as little as $30.00 a month you can train a family. In our church there are 15 families participating in the NCM, Child Sponsorship program. One of these children is being sponsored by our first graders through sixth graders and another by our seventh and eighth grade Sunday school class. If you are not yet sponsoring a child, please pray about it and let the Holy Spirit speak to your heart. You can be an active part in enriching a child's life forever. Applications are available in the church foyer. For more information on the Nazarene Child Sponsorship program, log onto www.nazchild.org. "And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me." Mt. 18:5 | ||||||||||||||
| During the month of December, Christmas cards for church members may be placed in the box provided in the foyer. The cards will be delivered before and after the services on the two Sundays before Christmas. We ask for a small donation for our National Pastors Children. Please consider giving an all-church card to be displayed in the church and the monies that would have been spent on cards and stamps be given as a donation.

| Crisis Care Kits (CCKs) are personal hygiene kits that are assembled by Nazarene Churches, warehoused in Fawn Grove, MD, and distributed throughout the world to those in need. Nazarenes donated more than 53,000 Crisis Care Kits in 2004! The kits went to Armenia, Iran, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Panama, Republic of Georgia, the Ukraine, and the United States. In early 2005, over 16,000 CCKs were sent to the Asia tsunami area. Your generosity made an incredible difference! The kits are easy and inexpensive to assemble. As a church we are looking to donate 30 kits. This year we will be collecting bulk items for the kits. Information is in the church foyer listing items that are needed. Please take a tag for the items that you would like to purchase and return the items to the church by the end of June. If you prefer to assemble complete kits, an itemized list is also in the foyer. Only the items listed can be accepted. We will be bringing the kits with us on our mission's trip to Fawn Grove, MD in July.
